Gel technology is a modern technology for the determination of erythrocyte antigens, screening and identification of antibodies.
It is based on the use of a combination of agglutination and gel filtration methods. All tests are carried out in plastic diagnostic cards that contain micro-samples filled with polyacrylamide gel.

In each gel card MEDCAPTAIN 8 micro—samples are additional features and double reliability in determining blood type and Rh-affiliation (using antibodies of different clones). Gel cards can be used with devices specially designed for them, as well as with centrifuges and incubators for gel cards from other manufacturers.

Laboratory centrifuges for gel cards are devices that ensure the deposition of blood samples in the rotor during immunohematological studies.
